Clinical Kinesiology:

To understand the method of Clinical Kinesiology (CK) and the Biocomputer model developed by Alan Beardall, DC it is first necessary to trace the progression of Kinesiology from its beginnings. George Goodheart, DC pioneered the practice of Applied Kinesiology (AK) that was later refined by Alan Beardall, DC as the practice of Clinical Kinesiology.

Kinesiology and Applied Kinesiology (AK) Defined Kinesiology in common medical usage is "the study of muscles and muscular movement."1However, when coupled with the word "applied, " a whole new concept is invoked: the use of muscle testing to evaluate body function.2 That is, by manually testing various muscles, areas of dysfunction can be diagnosed. These areas can then be tested in relationship to therapeutic reflex points and acupuncture points to identify causal factors.

Disease begins first as an imbalance in the body’s energy fields that, if sustained, progresses on to the physical plane.3 As will be described below, weakness in a muscle is an energetic phenomenon, which can be used to identify health problems before symptoms appear, thereby allowing Western medicine to begin to practice prevention. This is very similar to the Chinese belief that illness is caused by imbalances of energy in the meridian system, as determined by pulse diagnosis. Kaptchuk has dealt with these concepts in great detail.4 He describes how, in China today, the Western approach is often used in acute and emergency situations where there is a definite and clear concept of the disease etiology. The Eastern approach predominates in situations of a chronic nature and in functional disorders. Kinesiology is a tool that opens a doorway between Eastern and Western approaches to health, allowing a paradigm shift away from disease identification and defeat towards disease prevention and the promotion of wellness.  More on Clinical Kinesiology

Laser Kinesiology - Repairing muscles so that they fire properly, using the laser.

Neuro Emotional Technique (NET)

NET is a mind-body stress-reduction technique that uses a methodology of finding and removing neurological imbalances related to the physiology of unresolved stress. NET is a tool that helps improve mental and physical health.

Active Release Technique

Every ART session is actually a combination of examination and treatment. The ART provider uses his or her hands to evaluate the texture, tightness and movement of muscles, fascia, tendons, ligaments and nerves. Abnormal tissues are treated by combining precisely directed tension with very specific patient movements. These treatment protocols - over 500 specific moves - are unique to ART. They allow providers to identify and correct the specific problems that are affecting each individual patient.

Nutritional Techniques and Information

Dr. Joseph Mercola is an Osteopath that is dedicated to teaching people about how they can take control of their health. His team is very thorough about investigating and researching many topics that pertain to our physical health, as well as our general well-being. The best part about this website is that a person can research any health-related topic and most likely, his team has researched it.

Price-Pottenger Nutrition Foundation

The Price-Pottenger Nutrition Foundation (PPNF) is a non-profit educational resource providing access to modern scientific validation of ancestral wisdom on nutrition, agriculture, and health for 59 years.  Originally known as the Weston A. Price Memorial Foundation, they serve as the guardian for the precious archival material from the research of Weston A. Price, DDS and Francis M. Pottenger, Jr., MD, and most of the great nutrition pioneers of our time, as well as maintaining a library of over 10,000 historical and contemporary references.

The Doctor Within

"When it comes to health in today's world, it's a matter of protection: making a real effort to protect ourselves and our children against an increasingly hostile environment."

Mission Statement for The Doctor Within:

"The mission of this website is to provide the information necessary for such protection (reference above).  Obviously such knowledge is not common - look at how sick and unhealthy we are. Natural health is no longer optional; it's becoming a matter of survival.  What is labeled as Health Care often has little to do with health.  It seem vitally important to do everything we can to keep ourselves and our children out of hospitals and to avoid most doctors, except for trauma and life-threatening cases.

This website is dedicated to providing referenced, scientific data on a variety of holistic and alternative medicine topics, focusing on universal principles, sound physiology, and the undiluted healing powers of the body itself."
