Hi –

I had two herniated discs in my lower back in April 2001. The consensus from the MD community was that my days of running and lifting weights were over, and that I should start getting used to the rocking chair. I almost bought into that, until Dr. Specht convinced me otherwise.

Over the course of the next several months, Dr. Specht’s work got me back onto my favorite running trails and into the weight room. In December 2005, I applied for, and was accepted as a “Federal Game Warden”. I didn’t realize it at the time, but it meant attending a very physically intense 18 week training program at the “Federal Law Enforcement Training Center” in Georgia.

Dr. Specht’s advice prior to heading back east was to use “The Stick” and “Posture Curve” religiously. After the second day of training, I was convinced that there was no way my lower back, and the rest of me, was going to hold on for 18 weeks of the physical pounding I was taking.

Remembering Dr. Specht’s advice, I began to use the Stick and the Posture Curve a dozen or so times a day. They did the trick. I am absolutely convinced that without them, I would not have made it to graduation. Their ability to warm-up, relax, and keep my back in check was truly remarkable. I highly recommend both to anyone.

I was having back problems for a dozen years. I had tried various chiropractors, medical doctors that wanted to perform surgery (thank goodness I avoided that advice) and a “world renowned” back specialist. After all of that, (with very limited degrees of success), I was referred to Dr. Specht by a friend.

Within a couple of visits, I felt better and Dr. Specht recommended exercises that I could perform at home. Within 3-4 months of doing exercises regularly, my back has only been out 1 time. Now, it’s been over 4 years since Dr. Specht fixed the muscles on my back, and they rarely see me at the office.

I’m semi-retired and play golf 3-4 times a week without any problem. Prior to my back getting fixed, I was missing 3-4 months of golf a year!

I routinely rely on Dr. Specht for other health issues (sinus, digestive issues) and have had success through his recommendations for all of it.

To Whom It May Concern:

I began seeing Dr. Specht in February 2004. I was in an auto accident and after seeing my original chiropractor three times a week for three months without results, and a recommendation for back surgery, my aunt suggested that I see her doctor. I was skeptical, but I decided I had nothing to lose and anything was better than another surgery.

I noticed a difference in the way I felt in one visit. The relief resulting in the treatment that Dr. Specht gave me lasted unlike other treatments and therapy I had received. He has a unique combination of treatments that include chiropractic adjustments, nutritional advice, kinesiology, exercise and emotional support. With each visit, I felt better and better.

It is now May 2005 and I have never had more confidence in my back. In fact, this is the best my back has ever felt. I never thought I would be without back pain, but I am. I am back to leading a regular life and doing activities I enjoy such as practicing and instructing Tae Kwon Do, working out at the gym, working around the house and basically doing whatever I want.

I will admit getting better (to this extent) is not instant or without work. If you want to be healed, you will have to do as Dr. Specht tells you! Get the gadgets, they work! Stay away from foods and drinks that your body is “allergic” to and give the treatments time. I consider Dr. Specht my Primary Care Physician and recommend him to everyone.

Thank You Dr. Specht and Staff for all your help,

Scott M.

Over the course of 2 years, I saw every type of doctor imaginable to help me with my knee and back problems. None of them were able to help me with my problems or even provide me with temporary relief. I had given up my active lifestyle and figured I would have to get used to living with the pain.

Then I met Dr. Specht.

Two different people recommended Dr. Specht and even though I had already given up hope, I figured I could try one last time. I was curious about him since I kept hearing his name from different people. To my surprise, I felt better starting with my first appointment. Dr. Specht relies on several different methods to treat his patients and even though I don’t completely understand how they work, I completely understand how I feel.

Now I am back to 100% and feel better than ever. I’m playing soccer and racquetball again and for the first time ever I’m training for a half marathon!
Thank you Dr. Specht!

I am a long term “very happy” patient of Andy Specht. It was a last resort to go see him after seeing other chiropractors, orthopedic surgeons, and physical therapists who couldn’t help me. I had a chronic back ache and pain for at least 3-4 years. I was told to give up sports, that my body was showing the abuse I had put it thru all the years of my athletics. I gave up playing softball, jogging and racquetball for 3 years because of the pain. After a few visits with Dr. Specht , I started to feel much better and eventually was totally back to playing my sports again. As we speak, I’m playing racquetball 3 times a week, golf on a regular basis, enjoy cycling and also jogging. I’ve referred him to many friends over the years, and they have all come back to thank me. By the way, this weekend I’m playing in a racquetball tournament and wouldn’t be there if not for Dr. Specht. I can’t recommend him highly enough!
